Turkey Shepard's Pie with Horseradish Cheddar Mashed Potatoes {Recipe}

Turkey Shepard's Pie with Horseradish Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Serves four-6.

Filling Ingredients:

1 lb. footing turkey

i tablespoon olive oil

½ teaspoon kosher salt

½ teaspoon freshly footing pepper

2 teaspoons worcestershire sauce

1 medium cherry-red onion, diced

2 celery stalks, diced

1 large carrot, diced

½ teaspoon celery common salt

ane cup low-sodium chicken or beef broth

1 bay leaf

Instructions:

In a large frying pan, saute the turkey with olive oil and flavour with common salt, pepper and worcestershire sauce. Cook over medium heat until no longer pink, nigh viii-10 minutes. When meat is browned and cooked all the style through, remove from pan and reserve. Add the onion, celery and carrot, seasoning with celery salt. Cook for 5-8 minutes until softened. Add the cooked turkey, broth and bay leaf. Simmer over low heat for 5 minutes, or until goop has reduced past half.

Horseradish Cheddar Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients:

ii large russet potatoes

4 cups low-sodium craven broth

½ cup heavy whipping foam

½ loving cup extra-abrupt cheddar cheese, shredded

¼ cup unsalted butter

one tablespoon prepared horseradish

two teaspoons fresh dill

one teaspoon freshly basis black pepper

½ teaspoon kosher common salt

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375.

Peel the potatoes, and cut them into 1-inch pieces. Place them in a medium pot and cascade goop to cover.

Cook over medium heat until the potatoes are fork tender, about 20-25 minutes.

Drain the potatoes, and brew in the foam, cheese, butter, horseradish and dill. Flavor with pepper and salt.

Place the meat mixture in the lesser of a 2 quart baking dish. Gently spread the mashed potatoes on tiptop of the meat mixture.

Bake for 25-thirty minutes, or until cheese is gold.

Serve immediately.
